CEAR commemorates Women's Day
On 8 March 2018, CEAR joined the global community in commemorating the International Women's Day by visiting a postnatal ward at Machinga District Hospital.
CEAR ladies cheered up some of the new mothers at the hospital by giving them CEAR branded cloth (chitenje), nappies, baby pants and safety pins. After that, the CEAR ladies helped clean the ward and donated to the hospital several items including brooms, brushes, mops, cleaning Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among other things.
International Women's Day is commemorated annually to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women while calling for gender equality.
